Why you should trust us with your child’s story
No reviews yet, and none invented
We have not sold a book yet, so there is nobody to quote. Here is what you can check for yourself instead.
Four things you can verify right now
Not opinions, and not our opinion of ourselves. Every one of these is on this site today and you can go and count it.
18
stories you can read right now
Free, no account, no email. Read one at bedtime tonight and judge the writing before you spend anything.
335
scenes, story by story
Every story in the free library is broken into scenes, with its characters, a moral and questions to talk about. Read them before you spend anything.
18
hero categories
Courage, curiosity, calm and fifteen more. Each one changes what your child actually does in the story, not just the title.
0
photographs, ever
There is no upload step in the product. The character is designed from a fixed set of features, so we never receive an image of a child and never store one.
A note from the people making this
We would rather show you the work than quote a stranger
Most sites like this open with a wall of five-star reviews. We have not sold a single story yet, so we do not have any, and we are not going to write ourselves some.
What we can do is let you check the work. The whole library is free and needs no account. Read The Ugly Duckling or Rumpelstiltskin, look at how they are written, and decide from that whether you trust us with your child's story.
When real families start writing to us, their words will go here, with their permission and their names as they want them. Until then this space stays honest and empty.
Read it before you buy
A stranger’s five stars would tell you less than ten minutes with the actual writing. The whole library is free, there is no account and no email, and the paid stories are built the same way. Start with one of these tonight.
The Ugly Duckling
Read this one to find out whether we can sit inside a sad middle without hurrying a child out of it. The ending only earns anything if the loneliness before it is taken seriously.
Read it free →Rumpelstiltskin
Read this one if your child has stopped being easily impressed. It is a bargain, a threat and a deadline, and it has to keep moving without tipping over into frightening.

No account, no email, nothing to cancel. Decide about the paid book afterwards.
What being early actually gets you
Going first carries a real risk, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. This is the part that only works while we are still small.
You help shape it
The first families get asked what worked and what did not, and it changes what we build next.
Your story is read by a person
While we are small, somebody checks every story before it reaches you. That will not scale, which is rather the point of being early.
The hero is yours to keep
A hero created now stays saved, so every future adventure costs less and keeps the same face.
Our rule about this page
We will only ever publish testimonials from real families, named exactly as they choose, and only with their permission. Nothing here will be written by us, bought, generated, or attached to a stock photograph. A first name, initials or nothing at all is fine. If you change your mind later, ask us and we will take it down, without a conversation about why.
Read one with your child already? Tell us how it went.
