We keep your data no longer than necessary

No photographs, ever

You design the character from a fixed set of options. We never ask for a picture of your child, so there is never one to keep.

  • We never ask for a photograph

There is no upload button, no camera prompt and no step where you hand over a picture. The character is designed from a fixed set of features instead. A photograph of your child never leaves your phone.

  • We never hold an image of your child

We cannot lose, leak or misuse something we were never sent. There is nothing in our storage that shows what your child actually looks like, because there never was.

  • The character is a drawing you designed

Skin, hair, eyes, build, glasses, freckles, clothes. Every part of it is a choice you made. It is an illustration of a character, not a likeness taken from a real face.

  • The story belongs to your family

The book we make for you is yours. It is not added to a public library and it does not appear in anybody else's account.

  • Nobody else can see it

There is no public link and no shared gallery. The only people who can open the story are the ones you send it to.

  • We do not sell or share your child's data

No advertisers, no data brokers, no third-party trackers following a child around the internet. There is nothing to sell and we would not sell it.

Questions

What is the difference between Standard and Premium?
Standard gives you one hero, designed by you, and the whole story built around them. Premium lets you design the rest of the cast as well, renders every illustration at the higher quality setting, and saves the cast so the next book can use the same characters.
Do you need a photograph of my child?
No, and that is deliberate. There is no upload step anywhere in the product. You design the character yourself, which means we never receive a picture of a child, never store one, and never have to ask you to trust us with one. It also means there is nothing for us to lose.
How do I make the character look like my child?
You choose the skin tone, the hair colour, the hair style, the eye colour, the build, the freckles, the glasses and the clothes. Most parents land on something recognisable in a couple of minutes. It is a storybook drawing rather than a portrait, which is rather the point of a storybook.
Can I change the character later?
Yes. The studio keeps what you made and you can go back and alter any part of it. Change it after a book is finished and the next book uses the new version. The book you already have stays as it is.
What if my child does not like the character?
Change it. Nothing is fixed, so you can adjust the hair or the clothes and look again before you order anything. Children are specific about hair, and they are usually right.
Can I make characters for the whole family?
You can. There are slots for a mother, a father, a sibling, a grandparent, a friend and a pet, each designed the same way as the hero. Premium is the tier that puts more than one of them in the book.
How long does it take to make a story?
Usually a few minutes from the moment you finish the form. You do not need to keep the page open. We will tell you when it is ready.
Who can see the stories we make?
You, and anyone you choose to send them to. There is no public gallery, no browsing other families' books, and no way for a stranger to find your story.
Is my child really the main character?
Yes. The story is written around your child from the start, so their name, their age range and the hero you pick shape what actually happens. It is not a template with a name dropped into it.
Is every story different?
Yes. Two children with the same name, the same age range and the same chosen theme will get different stories, because the writing happens fresh each time rather than being pulled off a shelf.
Can I make stories for siblings?
You can. Each child gets their own hero and their own story.
Can I make more adventures for the same child?
Yes, and that is what the Next adventure price is for. If the cast was made on Premium it is saved privately, so the next story costs less and everybody looks the same as they did before.
Does it work on a phone and a tablet?
It works on both, and on a laptop. The reading view is built for a phone held in one hand in a dark room, because that is where most of this gets read.
Can I download it and print it?
Every story comes with a printable PDF. Any decent home printer will manage it, and a print shop will do a better job if you want something that lasts.
What ages does it suit?
Roughly three to ten. Younger children want the pictures and the sound of it, older ones want the plot, and the writing adjusts to the reading level you pick.
Does it make a good gift?
It does, and it is the most common reason people buy one. You need the child's first name or a nickname, their age range and a rough idea of what they look like. Nobody has to send you a picture of their child, which makes the whole thing easier to arrange quietly.
