What this song is about
Find It, Put It Home turns tidying up into a colour hunt. Each verse calls out a colour, "Who can find something red?", and children race to pick up the red toys and carry them to their home. Then blue, then yellow and green, then the last ones hiding under the chair. Splitting a messy room into one colour at a time makes the job small enough for a toddler to manage, and sorting by colour is good early maths.
Every chorus ends with "Freeze!", so everyone stops, looks around and checks: is anything still on the ground? The freeze gives a breathing space in the middle of the rush and is a lot of fun to get right. In the bridge, the Dragon sweeps the last bits into a heap with its tail. The song is about two and a quarter minutes long; play it twice in a row for a five-minute tidy-up, and by the final chorus "Nothing is left on the ground!"
Sung and danced with the Dragon, our mascot who learns new things alongside children.
